The next meeting of the RainTree Estates Neighborhood Alliance will be held Wednesday, May 4, at the Asian American Cultural Center @ 6:30 pm.

There are a number of items to be discussed that are of the utmost importance to the neighborhood.

1)  Zoning request by the Asian American Cultural Center

For those of you who are unaware, the Center has requested a zoning change to allow for expansion on the property it currently occupies. You can find details of the request on our website: JollyvilleRoad.com.

2)  Election of new officers for the Alliance

As most of you know Bob Conkright has left the neighborhood. The rest of us feel like 7 years has been long enough and with the influx of all of our new neighbors, we feel like it is time for some new ideas and new life in the leadership of our neighborhood.  If you are interested, or have any questions about what this entails please feel free to e-mail me at: mddoyle1953@gmail.com

3)  Update on the pocket park on Arabian Trail

For those of you new to the neighborhood, ours is not a homeowners association. There are no dues or obligations. We are formed for the purpose of protecting our neighborhood from commercial encroachment, outside traffic, parking and other influences impacting our neighborhood. We keep residents informed of important events and issues that affect our neighborhood. In the event action is required our collective voice will be louder than a single one as we collaborate and cooperate with government, community groups and commercial interests to improve the quality of life for the residents of the neighborhood.

Please plan on attending this meeting and urge your neighbors to attend as well.
